Every time we saw Mr. Marsch, he made us smile, whether it was his unique sense of humor or the particular way he would tell a story. He always told it like he saw it. I remember how he didn't mince words when describing just how much he disliked Bruce Springsteen's singing. Most of all, in my most recent visits, what stood out was how dearly he loved his wife. He might be confused about some of the family details, but he knew she was special and the only one for him. I thank him for his service to our country, and send my sincere condolences to his family.
