Marie (nee Horner) Decker, age 99, lifetime area resident of New Egypt, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at home. She was born on January 26, 1922 in New Egypt, NJ to the late Clifford and Jennie (Foulks) Horner. Marie was a member of the Plumsted Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post 455 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching birds, taking care of her yard, and going for walks. In her younger years she enjoyed going fishing, but most of all she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and family. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, and friend that will be deeply missed. Marie is predeceased by her husbands, George Decker and Leon “Joel” Emery; her son Bruce Emery; her grandson, Brian Hoff; parents Clifford and Jennie Horner; her eleven siblings; and her two sons-in-law, Alvah “Al” Hoff Jr. and James Hawkins. She leaves behind her two daughters, Linda Hoff of Cream Ridge, and Betty Jane Hawkins of Atco; her eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.
