James Walker Carter, age 55, of Eastampton passed away at his home on Sunday, February 10. James, affectionately known as Jimmy to his friends and family, was born in Camden County on October 20, 1952, resided in Cherry Hill until 1964 and has since been a resident of Burlington County. He attended Burlington City High School and John F. Kennedy High School. Throughout the years, Jimmy has managed three area service stations for Riggins Oil Company before operating his own towing and car sales business. His most recent employment was as a civilian employee with Mid-West Management Technologies at McGuire AFB. Son of the late Horace and Jenny (nee Barbera) Carter; Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Alethea Carter Siwka and husband Mark and two grandchildren, Justin and Brook, all of Tennessee; two sisters, his twin, Margaret ?Marti? Rulli and husband Robert Mooney of New Egypt and Mary Haines and husband Felton of Browns Mills; two brothers, Horace ?Dave? Carter and wife Shirley of Wrightstown and Jack Bice and wife Ruth Ann of Jobstown; his dear friend Gloria Rumdurg of Eastampton and many nieces and nephews. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and close friends. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
