Mildred D. Johnston, age 95, of Cream Ridge, formerly of Whiting and Bayville, passed away August 10, 2021 at home. She was born on December 3, 1925 in Toms River to the late Clarence and Beatrice (nee Wahl) Tice. Mildred was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s in Toms River. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend that will be deeply missed. Mildred is predeceased by her beloved husband Bobby Johnston; her two sons, Joseph Pagano, and Robert Pagano; her parents, Clarence and Beatrice Tice; and her five brothers, Hank Tice, Johnny Tice, Donald Tice, Robert Tice, and Richard Tice. She leaves behind her daughter, Mildred Eckley and husband Robert of Cream Ridge; two grandchildren, Aurus Bayan of Jackson, and Jesuha Pagano and wife Nicole of Toms River; four great-grandchildren, Patrick Miller, Daniel Malloy, Ahrabella Pagano, and Naori Pagano; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mildred will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mildred’s name can be made to Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
