James Robert Switzer, age 73, long time area resident of New Egypt, NJ, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at home. He was born August 31, 1948 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late David and Geneva (nee Ochiltree) Switzer. James worked a project manager for Eii Electric in Cranford, NJ. He enjoyed playing and teaching the grandchildren how to play the guitar. James liked fixing old radios, but most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed. James is predeceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor Switzer; his parents, David and Geneva Switzer; and two brothers, Larry Switzer, and Buster Switzer. He leaves behind his son Adam Switzer and wife Karla of New Egypt; his four grandchildren, Wyatt, Zoey, Bradley, and Lola; and his two sisters, Martha and Peggy. Services for James are being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
