Richard Paul Weidenfeller, age 77 of Wrightstown, passed away on Thursday, March 31, at home. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, he lived in the Wrightstown area since 1989. Richard was the owner of Weidenfeller Refrigeration Company, Wrightstown. He was a parishioner at Church of the Assumption in New Egypt. Dick served in the US Coast Guard from 1964-1966 and then in the reserves. He enjoyed his work, reading about WWII, traveling, going to the shore, and rescuing animals. Dick cherished his 3 dogs and 3 cats. Predeceased by his parents, John and Virginia Weidenfeller; and his brothers, Fritz and John; Richard is survived by his wife of 23 years, Barbara; his sons, Richard and his wife Tammy, and James and his wife Erin; his daughter, Holly Straight; his sister, Marlene Fabbro; his 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Services for Dick are being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
