George B. Matejceck, age 84, of Buena died Wednesday, February 27 at his residence. Born in Trieste, Italy, he had been a resident of Buena for the past 24 years and was formerly of the Jackson, NJ area and also Staten Island, NY. George was a Coast Guard Veteran of WWII and was a retired Barge Captain for Gulf Oil in Staten Island, NY. He is survived by his wife Shirley Matejceck; a son, Jordan Matejceck and wife Joan of Deale, MD; three daughters, Linda Matejceck and husband Gerald Baldachino of Millstone Twp., Jeanette Bullus of Wrightstown and Diane Wagner of Manalapan; a brother, Edward Matejceck of Texas and five grandchildren, Michael Boginski, Timothy Bullus, Jamie Bullus, Raymond Bullus and Jason Baldachino. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4 at 9:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Burial will follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Monday, March 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
