I served under mayor Ron Dancer for about five years until 1990. He trusted me enough to make me recycling coordinator and chair person of the newly established municipal utilities authority.
I learned so much from Ron about managing, politics, committee & compromise.
New Egypt and Plumstead Township was brought out of a dark time under his administration to a balanced spreadsheet, new municipal building and high school, to name just two legacies of the honorable Mr. Dancer.
RIP

I have known Ronnie since 1955 when we lived temporarily on the Farm when my Step-father came to work for Stanley. We used to play all over the farm together until we moved in early 1956. We have communicated throughout the years and I was shocked to hear about his passing. To the family all my sympathy, Ronnie was a great man and I am so sorry to lose such a friend.

My prayers to the family. I have known Ron since the 80s. Met him at his dad's farm when I worked with Standardbred Racehorses. He helped me to become the Racetrack Chaplain at The Meadowlands in NJ and then always supported all the work we did for the horsemen for the 25 years I was in that position. He was always a man of high integrity and honesty and had a great love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He really cared about all the people he served and I am sure he got to hear that message from Jesus "Well done, good and faithful servant !" when he went home to heaven. God Bless you Ronald Dancer, because of you I am a life that was changed.

Ron and I attended New Egypt Elementary School together. On a class trip we went to the Dancer Horse Farm and were put on one of their Thoroughbreds. WOW, I don't know how he rode and trained them!!! He was a natural born Leader. Last month, he sent out copies of "The Declaration of Independence" I will cherish mine.

Mr Dancer and I became very close friends. Steadfastly he remained with me towards the end of my Law Enforcement career, making sure I stayed the course and ended it on my terms. The awards he made come true in celebration of my Retirement will always have a special place for me, hanging right next to all my keepsakes of my career. He was a God send to me, I will never forget the words of praise and encouragement throughout the years. Even during tense times, we had a mutual respect for one other. May he be granted a place at the Lords table. Truly a honest man in a ever growing dishonest political world. I will miss my conversations with Mr. Dancer and wish nothing but the best for his remaining family and friends. God Bless.

I knew Ron for most of my life. Grew up watching him race horses against my father. I had the privilege to work for him, in his stable, after graduating high school. He taught me a lot, and helped me obtain my trainer’s license. I have not met a better man. He was a fair and understanding man, to everyone around him. His loss, will be felt wider, than the many, many people he had helped and fought for, throughout his political career. I am grateful to have known him. My sincerest condolences to Brenda and the entire Dancer family. May he rest peacefully, for all of eternity.

I am so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Dancer family during this most difficult time. Assemblyman Dancer was dedicated to supporting our students and any cause that would improve educational opportunities for military families. As Superintendent, I worked with Ron on the issues that had immediate impact on our community. Ron always made the time to listen and act. I will always remember his smile and I am thankful for his friendship.

He gave me my first paying job when I was a kid, trimming around all the fences and barns at Stanley's (Ronald's father's) farm to prepare for the big sire stakes horse races every year. I worked with his son, Ron Jr., an spent many summers playing with him on that farm and at Ronald's house. So many good times and good memories. He was good man, good to us kids, and he'll be missed. Rest in Peace, Mr. Dancer.

We are so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. Our family had so many great memories of Ron. Seen him many times a the library during the Talk to Mayor times. My husband knew him growing up across the street from his family. And so many other times. He always knew our names, greeted us not only with hugs but kisses and always had a spiritual way about him. We have lost a great conservative as well. We will keep him and all of you in our prayers.
God Bless.
