Lane “Jack” M. Marshall, Jr., age 95, lifelong resident of New Egypt, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at home with his family by his side. He was born on November 8, 1926 in New York City to the late Lane M. and Elsie C. (nee Richards) Marshall, Sr. Jack was a parishioner at Church of the Assumption located in North Hanonver. He owned Marshall’s Corner for ten years. Jack was a keen gardener and a New York Yankees fan. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend that will be deeply missed. Jack is predeceased by his daughter, Lorraine Hilburn; his parents, Lane M. Sr. and Elsie C. Marshall, and his siblings, Elsie “Dolly” Lowe, Samuel Marshall, and Bill Marshall. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 75 years, Rose (nee Blanda) Marshall; his three children, Steven Marshall of Cream Ridge, MaryEllen Rogers and husband Harold of New Egypt, and Lisa Stratton and husband Matthew of New Egypt; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 10 AM at BGWCD Veteran Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Family and friends attending the service please meet that the cemetery entrance at 9:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s name can be made to the Salvation Army, 615 Slaters Lane, Alexandria, Virginia 22314 (https://give.salvationarmyusa.org/)
