Joseph F. Brinkerhoff, Jr., age 64, longtime area resident of Cookstown, formerly of South Amboy, passed away at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born on May 16, 1958 to the late Joseph and Gladys (nee Rugar) Brinkerhoff, Sr. Joseph worked as a senior machine technician for Berry Plastics located in Monroe Township. He loved everything about soccer. Joseph liked going fishing and bowling, and playing pool. He was an avid motorcyclist, and liked photography. Joseph enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, PopPop, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed. Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Brinkerhoff, Sr. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 16 years, Joice (nee Kalangit) Brinkerhoff of Cookstown; his son, Michael Brinkerhoff and wife Susy of New Egypt; his three grandchildren, MJ, AJ, and Jayla; his brothers and sisters, Debbie Minnella and husband Vito of Toms River, Gary Brinkerhoff and wife Teri of Bayville, Gwyn Vegh and husband Gary of North Carolina, and Tim Brinkerhoff of South Amboy; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 10 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Cream Ridge Cemetery located at 157 Burlington Path Road, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514.
