Floyd C. Wright, Jr., 91, resident of Columbus, passed away on November 2, 2022. He was born on July 22, 1931 in Trenton, grew up in New Egypt and spent over 55 years as a resident of Wrightstown. Floyd enjoyed cars, fishing, vacationing in Hawaii, the Dallas Cowboys and the TV show Alf. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He worked for 37 years, as a lineman, for Jersey Central Power in Light in Cookstown. Floyd could be found every Sunday morning with his friends at The Plum Tree Restaurant or Tooties in New Egypt. Floyd is predeceased by his parents Floyd and LeEtta Wright (nee Miller); and his two sisters Edith Hedgecoth and Virginia Forbes. He leaves behind his beloved wife Gaynell (nee Patton) of Burlington, his children Lisa Giovanelli of Columbus, Dale (Donna) Wright of North Hanover, and Verna (David) Osofsky of Whiting, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Floyd are being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt.
