Obituary of Margaret A. Bauman

Margaret A. “Peggy” Bauman, age 85, lifelong resident of New Egypt, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center located in Freehold. She was born on March 31, 1937 in New Egypt to the late George and Verna (nee Johnson) Halpin. Peggy worked as a clerk for McGraw Hill. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church. Peggy enjoyed doing plastic canvas. She liked to volunteer at her church’s food pantry. Peggy enjoyed going to Wall Stadium with her husband to car races every Saturday. They also loved traveling to Lancaster, PA. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend that will be deeply missed. Peggy is predeceased by her parents, George and Verna Halpin; and four siblings, George Halpin, Ed Halpin, Joy Youmans, and Helen Walton. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 41 years, David Bauman of New Egypt; her two children, Verna Osofsky and husband David of Whiting, and Dale Wright and wife Donna of Whiting; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her siblings, Robert Halpin and wife Nancy of North Carolina, Ruth Archer of Point Pleasant, and Bonnie Golden of Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Peggy will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with interment to follow at Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery located at 49 Jacobstown Arneytown Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Calling will be held on Wednesday morning from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
