Debra A. (nee Hopkins) Parks, age 67, longtime area resident of Browns Mills, formerly of Jacobstown, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital in Browns Mills. She was born on June 18, 1955 in Trenton to the late Benjamin and Lois (nee Conger) Hopkins. Debby was a member of the New Egypt Methodist Church. She loved working for Pemberton Township as a bus driver. Debby was all about her kids that rode the bus. She was a kind hearted, and genuine person who would do anything for anyone. Debby loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them in any activity they were in. She liked playing bingo, crocheting, and doing arts and crafts. Debby was known as the “Dollar Store Diva.” She enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved bringing everyone together. Debby had a great sense of humor with a bit of rage, and told you how it was. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed. Debby is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald E. Parks, Sr.; and by her parents, Benjamin and Lois Hopkins. She leaves behind her two sons, Ronald Parks, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Burlington, and Travis Parks and wife Colleen of Spring Lake Heights; her three grandchildren, Hailey, Kendall, and Benjamin; and her two brothers, Bob Hopkins and wife Pam of Forked River, and Benjamin Hopkins and wife Sharon of North Hanover. Funeral services for Debby will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 7PM at New Egypt United Methodist Church-Atkinson Hall, 9 Fort Avenue, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Calling hours will be on Monday, February 20, 2023, 3PM to 7PM at Atkinson Hall. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home, located in New Egypt.
