Obituary of Margaret B. LeJambre

Margaret B. “Peggy” LeJambre, age 91, of North Hanover Township passed away Saturday, May 20 at Mount Holly Rehab and Healthcare Center. Born in Trenton to the late Josiah and Helen (Sager) Borden, she was a lifetime area resident. Peggy retired as the head cook for the North Hanover Township Schools and she also worked at Stacey’s Sporting Goods Shop in Trenton. She was a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church, a Past President and Life Member of the American Legion Post 455 Auxiliary in New Egypt and Peggy was active in the Jacobstown, Cookstown and New Egypt Senior Citizens Groups. Peggy was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Charles LeJambre; a son, Charles Richard LeJambre and her brothers, Robert and Richard Borden. She is survived by two nieces, Karen Kisner and husband Bill of New Egypt and Lori Wilkins and husband Bill of New Egypt; a nephew, Glenn Borden and wife Lori of Cookstown; a sister-in-law, Patsy Borden of New Egypt; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Wood of North Carolina and a special friend, Bunny Petteruti of Rhode Island. Funeral services for Peggy will be held on Wednesday, May 24 at 3:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with burial to follow at the Jacobstown Cemetery on Schoolhouse Road in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
