Stanley H. Davis, age 96, of New Egypt died Thursday, April 17 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chesterfield Twp., he was a resident of New Egypt before living in Florida for 20 years and had moved back to New Egypt 3 years ago. Stan was a retired Barber and was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda, FL. He was an exempt member of the New Egypt Vol. Fire Co and was its oldest member and held the longest membership, having joined the fire company in 1934. He was also a member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge #2457. Brother of the late Viola Townsend and Myrtle Haines, Stan is survived by his wife of 76 years, Lila (Stillwell) Davis; a daughter, Virgelia ?Jill? Reynolds of New Egypt; his grandchildren and their spouses, Stanley & Bonnie Reynolds of New Egypt, Nancy & Keith Buckalew of New Egypt, John Reynolds of Hornerstown and Gail & Jay McKenna of North Wales, PA; six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
