Frankie has been a true friend for over 45 years. We first met when I went to work shoeing the horses in brother Peter’s barn at the family Wagon Wheel Farm in Millstone in the late seventies. Right from the start we became friends and he has played a big part in my life ever since. There were stretches were I might not see Frank for 6 months or so and then other times when he would show up everywhere, but there was never a time I could not call on him and have him be there for me. I could tell many stories but will share one thing Frank was particularly fond of doing. Whenever he would see my truck on the road he would swerve into my lane and seem to be headed straight towards me head on only to swerve back into his lane at the last moment and then laugh after seeing my expression. After awhile, it failed to get a rise out of me as I knew it was just Frankie’s way of saying hi! Always ornery and never a dull moment, I miss him already.
