I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with/for Rodger in the office at Brockway Glass in the 1980s until the plant closed in 1991. He was a nice man and a great boss.

I was 16 and working as a dishwasher at the Happy Apple Inn.That's where I met Rodger. I remember him telling me about the Great Depression and with a stern stare he said, "Best way to explain what caused The Great Depression was it was due to a lack of "CONFIDENCE". Fast forward 50 years later and I'm watching a video on the economy by Greg Manarino and guess what he just said... We're headed towards another Great Depression and it's because of a "Lack of Confidence"....That's what made me dig into my memory banks and come up with his name.I since moved to Arizona and haven't seen him since. So sad I didn't get to have that conversation with him 50 years post. Would have been nice to get reaquainted. Condolarnces to the family....

Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with Rodger’s family and friends at this time of his passing. We first met Rodger, Kathleen, Carole, and Brian when they moved in across the street from us on Kenyon Drive some fifty plus years ago. We have many fond memories of backyard family picnics sharing great food, stories, and jokes, while shooting hoops and pitching quates and horse shoes by candle light. Our memories of Rodger and the young families that grew up in our collective neighborhood remain with us and our children.

Rodger was a dear friend, we shared so many great times together, you could always find us traveling to play golf, watch horse races, visit the casinos or just out for dinner to talk about our good times. Gone but never forgotten, Rodger will always be in my heart, remembered and loved like a brother, a dear friend.

I met Rodger 30 years ago when his daughter Carole and I married a pair of South African cousins. I guess that made us second cousins-in-law-in-law, but he always felt like an uncle to me. I always enjoyed the good laughs and sports talk we shared over a cold beer on a warm afternoon in the back yard. Since we lived states apart, we often went years between visits, but the conversation always picked right up as if it had only been a week. I am sad to know those times are over, but I will always cherish the memories.

Some of my best memories of Pops A.k.A. Roger has always been just hanging out in the backyard having a braai and listening to music . Another time would be when Mayhem and Havoc (Roger and Pierre) joined us in Atlantic City. A great night was had by all and remember what happens in Atlantic City stays in Atlantic City. I have had so many beautiful times with your Dad Carole and Brian. These are just 2 of the many memories . Love, Diane and Brian.
