Raymond A. Zavetoski, age 95, longtime resident of Cream Ridge, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Complete Care at Bey Lea in Toms River. He was born on October 29, 1928 in Trenton, NJ to the late Edward and Helen Zavetoski. Ray enlisted in the United States Navy in 1948 and proudly served four years during the Korean War. Of those 4 years, 3 were spent at the Bethesda Maryland Naval Hospital and 1 year on the USS Windham Bay. After leaving the Navy he spent about 10 years in San Francisco before returning to Trenton. Ray then worked as a factory worker for Goodall Rubber in Trenton. He served as an usher at St. Hedwigs Roman Catholic Church in Trenton. Ray was a life member of the American Legion- North Trenton. He volunteered at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center. Ray loved watching his game shows and doing crossword puzzles. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend that will be deeply missed. Ray is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Helen (Goralski) Zavetoski; and two brothers, Edward Zavetoski, and Tommy Zavetoski. He leaves behind his brother, Vincent Zavetoski; and niece and nephew, Kimberly Zavetoski and Michael Zavetoski; and his great-nephew, Tyler Applegate. Funeral services are being held private at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ .
