Mark C. Simons, age 70 of Mt. Holly passed away peacefully at home in Conway, South Carolina on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Born in Hampton, VA, he lived in Mt. Holly most of his life. He is predeceased by his parents Eugene and Marion Simons, Son Mark C Simons and Granddaughter Brandy Gibbs. He attended RVRHS and then joined the Air Force shortly after. He served in the Air Force for 4 years on a tour in Italy with his wife at the time Ida Braddock and their son Mark. He then joined Air Force and Army Reserves for 31 years after. He also worked as a retired civilian on JBMDL as a Mobile Equipment Service Vehicle Control Officer at the 305th Aerial Port Squadron. Mark is survived by his Daughter Carrie Simons and son Christopher Simons. Grandchildren Brittany and (John), Makayla and (Ryan), Allie, Jaxon, Paislee, Makenzie and Harley. Survived by 4 Great Grandchildren. Also, survived by his beloved sister Debbie and brother-in law John Shockey. He had many friends that loved him like Frank Nash, Chuck Curlis, Brenda and Mike Orourke, the crew at Modern Packaging in Mt Holly and his dear Boss/friend Frank Murphy from the 305th. . Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 10:30am on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Tilghman Funeral Home at 52 Main St. New Egypt NJ 08533. Interment will be in the Brig. Gen WC Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown with Air-force honors at 11:00am Thursday. A luncheon will follow with a memorial remembrance at Jacobstown Firehouse 86 Chesterfield-Jacobstown Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association for Korsakoff Syndrome 225 N. Michigan Ave. floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601
