Janet T. Thorn (nee Clark), 74, of Wrightstown, NJ passed away on December 11, 2024 in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Janet was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Neil R. Clark and Virginia A. Clark on March 26, 1950. She went to Rahway High School and graduated in 1968. Janet went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Glassboro State College, and began a Graduate program in the Department of Elementary/Early Childhood Education and Reading at Trenton State College. She worked at retail stores Grants and Sterns for several years. Janet worked at a Cerebral Palsy Center in Union County and worked as a middle school mathematics teacher at Northern Burlington Regional Jr/Sr. High School. Janet and Lawrence were married at the Reformed Church of Linden, at 600 North Wood Avenue in Linden on April 24, 1976. Janet was a troop leader for both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a prominent member of the PTA and created an extensive school newsletter for Clarence B. Lamb Elementary School. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, including four grandchildren. She enjoyed music by The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen.
Janet T. Thorn was predeceased by Neil R. Clark, Virginia A. Clark, Marion Thorn, Isaac W. Thorn, and William R. Thorn. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence C. Thorn, and children, Robert C. Thorn (spouse Meredith Thorn) and Diane K. Sasso (spouse Matthew Sasso). Janet is also survived by her four grandchildren, Alex Sasso, Devon Sasso, Norah Thorn, and Adam Thorn.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a viewing and ceremony on Sunday, December 15th from 12:00-2:00pm at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, New Jersey 08533. There will be an additional viewing from 9:30-10:30am on Monday, December 16th at Tilghman Funeral Home, followed by an 11:00 burial at
