Obituary of Linda Lou Hurley
Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Linda Lou Hurley, aged 76, longtime resident of Howell, formerly of New Egypt, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson NJ. She was born on March 17, 1948, in Newton, Pennsylvania to Betty (Long) and Albert German (Predeceased).
She was raised with her two brothers, Greg German (father to Timmy, Johnny and his wife Cyndi) and the late Glenn German (his wife Helen, and children Jr, and Albert). She leaves behind her longtime companion, Alan Stitt; her four children: William E. Hurley III (and his wife, Bridget), Adam Hurley (and his wife, Diane Lisa), Tammy Kovacs, and Wendy Hurley (and her husband, Mike); and seven blossoming grandchildren: Victoria Hurley, Patricia Hurley, Larissa Hurley, Shauna Hurley, Erik Hurley, Joseph Conroy, and Vincent Conroy.
Early on, she worked in the newspaper industry but later provided cleaning services for most of her career. Positive affirmations is what she was all about. She had a passion for all things, from red pintos to the musical group The Beatles. However, her lasting devotion remained with Mother Nature’s gifts—mainly her furry little friends, the cats—not to mention researching all things that raised questions, which she enjoyed discussing with her many chatroom friends. Though new doors opened, she always kept a place in her heart for her ex-husband, William Hurley, and his family, cherishing conversations with Marsha Eden, Dixie Eden, and Frankie Hurley.
Linda was a loving companion, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Linda on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
