Richard W. Wagner, age 65, of Cookstown died Wednesday, October 15 at his residence. Born in Chester, PA he was a resident of Cookstown since 1975. Richard was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, retiring as a MSGT after 20 years of service, from 1962 to 1982. He also was employed as an auto mechanic for 20 years at Jim?s Auto Repair in Cookstown. Richard was a member and Past Post Commander of VFW Post 6590 in Cookstown. He is survived by his wife, Yupin Wagner; a brother, Robert Wagner and wife Glenda of Wispering Pines, NC and a sister, Kathy Spies of Aberdeen, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20 at 10:30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Rev. Norman Eckley, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours are on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
