Grace C. (Swaim) Guenther, age 85, of New Egypt died Monday, December 22 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Born in New Egypt, she was a lifetime area resident. Grace had been employed in the Gift Shop of the Howard Johnsons on the NJ Turnpike in Yardville and also on the Garden State Parkway. She was also worked at the Base Exchange at McGuire AFB. Grace was a volunteer for the Red Cross and was a member of the American Legion Post #455 Auxiliary in New Egypt. In her later years she enjoyed baby sitting for family and friends. Grace is survived by her nieces, Lori Z. Brandl of Cream Ridge, Ellen Z. Brindley of Oklahoma and Barbara Parsons of Richmond, VA; a nephew, Robert Young of New Jersey; eleven great nieces and nephews and ten great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
