Obituary of Franco T. Redondo

Franco T. Redondo, age 75, of New Egypt died Monday, August 10 at RWJ University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was a resident of New Egypt since 1968 and formerly lived in Hornerstown, Augusta, GA and Germany. Franco was a Sergeant First Class with the US Army retiring in 1972 after 20 years of service. He served during the Korean and Viet Nam Wars, receiving the Bronze Star Medal. Son of the late Jose and Carmen (Torres) Redondo; he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Annaliese (Poellmann) Redondo; two daughters, Carmen Stinson and husband Wayne of Wrightstown and Monika Hannah and fianc? Mark Malloy of Wrightstown; a son, Frank Redondo and wife Robin of Mercerville; seven grandchildren, Melvin, Leroy, Jacqueline, Christiana, Matthew, Brendan Wayne Reed and Marissa; a great granddaughter, Ava Marie; four brothers, Albert Redondo and wife Gladys of Stewartsville, Anthony Redondo of Jersey City, Raul Redondo of San Juan, PR and Felix Redondo of Ponce, PR and a sister and other relatives in Puerto Rico. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17 at 11:30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial with military honors to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Sunday evening, August 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Franco?s memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P. O.
