William W. ?Billy? Cooper, age 56, of Bear, DE died Wednesday, December 6 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Born in Trenton, he had been a resident of the Cookstown area before moving to Delaware 11 years ago. Billy was a self employed paving contractor. Son of the late Nelson Cooper & Peggy Harrison, he is survived by his wife, Hazel (Stanley) Cooper; a son, William ?Billy? Cooper, Jr. of Bear, DE; three daughter and sons-in-law; Selena & James Broadway of Felton, DE, Carrie & Michael Harrison of Bear, DE and Crystal & James Zweemer of Magnolia, DE; two brothers, Ottoway & Nelson Cooper; three sisters, Sherry, Mary & Julie; his step father, Thomas Harrison of Jacobstown; two step brothers, Harry J. & Shane H. Harrison; two step sisters, Tillie Hopkins & Irene Stanley; and eight grandchildren, Jimmy Lee, William G. and Selena Louise Broadway, Michael, Hazel Doll & Gia Chanel Harrison and Selena & Isabella Renee Zweemer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11 at 1:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Pastor Josh Harrison, officiating. Interment will be in Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
