James Goff, 88, of Pluckemin, N.J., died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at King James Nursing Home in Middletown. Born in Upper Freehold Township. He lived in Cream Ridge for many years before moving to Pluckemin, N.J. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. James was a carpenter who was a member of the carpenter?s union local #2250. He is predeceased by his wife Irene; his mother and father, James Goff and Mary (Southard) Goff; he is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, James L. Goff,Jr. and Cheryl of Neptune, N.J.; David W. Goff and Linda of Leesburg, Fla. And close friend, Constance Foley. Funeral service will be held 1:30pm, Tuesday at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt. Burial will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Provinceline Road, Arneytown, N.J. Visitation will be 12:30pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
