Robert R. Adams, age 80, of New Egypt died Friday, January 1 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. Born in Edgewater Park, NJ, Bob was a resident of New Egypt since 1976 and formerly of Browns Mills. Bob was a self employed carpenter and in his early years worked on his family?s farm in Burlington. He was an Air Force veteran, serving as a Staff Sergeant from 1950-1954 and was a life member of the VFW Post 6805 in Browns Mills and a member of the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt. Bob was predeceased by his parents, H. Raymond and Gertrude (Budd) Adams and a sister, Jean Adams of Hyattsville, MD. He is survived by his wife, Joy (Lewis) Adams; three daughters, Chris Anne Adams and companion Robert Brown of Cream Ridge, Kathryn Wolden and husband Dan of Allentown, NJ and Barbara Farrell and husband Troy of Jacobstown; a son, Mark Adams of New Egypt; a sister, G. Anne Carter of Los Angeles, CA; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours for Bob will be held on Tuesday, January 5 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Funeral services and burial will take place on Thursday, January 7 at 12:30 PM at the Chapel of the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road in Wrightstown, NJ (Please arrive at the Funeral Home by 12:00 Noon to drive in precession to the cemetery).
