Peter T. Galloway, age 67, of Gainesville, FL died Thursday, December 3 at his residence. Born in Long Island City, NY, he was a resident of Florida for the past 8 years and formerly of New Egypt. Pete had been a truck driver for US Express in Oklahoma. He served in the US Air Force with 2 honorable discharges and 8 awards. He was a member of the New Egypt Elks and was a member of the ?Gallon Club? for donating 14 gallons of blood during his lifetime. Pete also was a licensed disc jockey with a Christian radio station in Oklahoma and was a volunteer at the library. Son of the late Frank and Mildred Galloway; Pete is survived by two daughters, Suzette Villipart of New Egypt and Cathy Galloway and her fianc?e Jeremy Edgeworth of Florida; eight grandchildren, Kelsy, Breanna, Bailey, Eli, Carli, Caitlyn, Christina and John; two brothers, Frank Galloway of Arkansas and David Galloway of Florida; a sister, Anita Ross of New Egypt and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Pete will be held on Thursday, December 31 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
