Amelia Collias, age 96, of Whiting died Saturday, February 20 at The Pines at Whiting Healthcare in Whiting. Born in Newark, she had been a resident of Whiting for the past 6 years and formerly of New Egypt, Florida and Newark. Amelia had been employed by Ty-Flex in Newark. Wife of the late George Collias, she is survived by four sons, John Collas and wife Marie of Annandale, NJ, James Collas of Bayville, Theodore Collas of Cancun, Mexico and William Collas of Whiting; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral services for Amelia will be held on Sunday, February 20 at 4:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union, NJ at a later date.
