Neil J. Matthews, age 68, of Vincentown died Monday, March 8 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Allentown, NJ he was a resident of Vincentown for the past 32 years and formerly of New Egypt. Neil had been employed by Mart?s Liquor Store in Eastampton for 22 years before retiring several years ago. Neil was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Sarah E. Matthews; three sisters; a brother and by his granddaughter, Kasey Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Judith (nee Hausser) Matthews; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Diane Matthews of Shamong and Steven and Sereda Matthews of Riverside; a brother, Richard Glenn Matthews and wife Olga of Southampton; four grandsons, Steve, Jacob, David and Joey and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Neil will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the Cream Ridge Cemetery in Cream Ridge. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
