Camden, S.C. ? Raleigh W. Caines, 76, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in New York City, NY. He was raised in the New Egypt area most of his life. He retired to Red Hill, Lee County, S.C., sixteen years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He owned and operated Caines Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie (Hurley) Caines of Lee County, S.C.; one daughter, Wanda Marie Caines of Hamilton Twp., N.J.; a special niece, Michele Caines of Crosswicks, N.J.; one brother and a sister-in-law, Robert and Jane Caines of New Egypt; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Fillweber of Cherry Hill and Donald and Betty Parker of Whiting and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1pm at the Tilghman funeral home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, N.J. 08533. Burial will follow at the Zion Cemetery,Rt 528, New Egypt,N.J. Visitation will be Saturday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
