Obituary of Julie A. Crowe

Julie A. Crowe, age 49, died Wednesday, April 21 at home. Born at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, Julie was the oldest of 5 siblings. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to anyone she ever met. She was also a small business owner, a school board member and was on the planning board in New Hanover Twp. Julie graduated from East Brunswick Vo-Tech in 1978. She was a licensed beautician, who practiced that profession before becoming a waitress. She was a waitress for many years at Olde Silver Tavern in Manalapan While being there, she made many great friendships that last to this day. After leaving, she became a small business owner, opening The Old North Run in Cookstown, NJ. For many years, she ran a successful business until becoming ill. Afterwards, she went to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold to work for the food services where she found many more people to become friends with. She also worked at Mulligans in Farmingdale where she had many fond memories from friends gained. For many years she enjoyed living in Point Pleasant Beach watching the waves crash on the beach each morning. Julie is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Crowe, Sr. and her two children Kenny Jr. and Justin. Also her oldest brother Mr. Jimmy Galati and his wife Tina, her sister Laurie Corbin, brother Richie Galati and youngest brother Mr. Jon Galati with his wife Michele. She had a daughter-in-law, Tara Crowe and a daughter-in-law in waiting, Erica Deresz. She had two grandsons, Patrick and Anthony. She had many nieces and nephews. There will be many, many friends mourning the loss for time to come. Calling hours for Julie will be held on Monday, April 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Julie?s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691 (www.americanheart.org).
