Obituary of Terry Lee Conk

Terry Lee Conk, age 53, of Cream Ridge died suddenly Tuesday, May 11 at RWJ University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime Cream Ridge resident. Terry was a 1974 graduate of Allentown (NJ) High School and a graduate of Trenton State College in 1978. He was employed for the past 31 years for the State of New Jersey, Department of Corrections as a supervisor at the Albert C. Wagner Youth Corrections in Bordentown. Terry was an avid Phillies fan and his pride and joy were his four children. His ability to attend, coach and enjoy all of their sports and extra-curricular activities filled his family passions with along his wife Donna. His quest to help special needs children was never ending within the surrounding community. Terry was a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church since 1986. He was a member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge #2457 and was Chairman of the Special Children?s Committee for the past 23 years. He was a past member of the Sunshine Foundation, a manager for New Egypt Baseball for 10 years and treasurer for the New Egypt Men?s Slow Pitch League. Terry was also a coach for Plumsted Youth Soccer. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Robert B. and Eva L. Conk. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna (Page) Conk; his children, Danielle Shin-Lee Conk and husband Steven Benton of Aberdeen, MD, Jana Eva Conk and fiance Vincent Lamola, Cody Yo-Han Conk and Noah Joo-Min Conk all of Cream Ridge; two brothers, Robert Conk and wife Mary Ann of Brodnax, VA and Gary Conk and wife Pamela of Cream Ridge; a sister, Barbara Blanda and husband John of New Egypt; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Georgia and Daniel Page, Sr. of Cream Ridge; brothers-in-law, Philip Glynn-Page of El Paso, TX, Daniel Page, Jr. and wife Kyia of Fairless Hills, PA, and William Page and wife Victoria of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Connie Mullen and husband Robert of Jackson; an uncle, Irvin Johnson, Sr. of Cream Ridge and many nieces and nephews including his godsons, Gary Conk, Jr. and Dennis Conk and his goddaughter, Chelsea Lynn Page. Funeral services for Terry will be held on Tuesday, May 18 at 11:00 AM at the Atkinson Hall of the New Egypt United Methodist Church, 38 North Main Street in New Egypt, with Pastor Dottie Johns, officiating. Interment will follow in the Cream Ridge Cemetery in Cream Ridge, NJ. Calling hours will be on Monday, May 17 from 3:00 to 9:00 PM with Elk?s Services at 8:00 PM and calling hours again on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Atkinson Hall. Memorial contributions in Terry?s memory may be made to the New Egypt Elks Special Children?s Committee, 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
