Edna L. (nee Applegate) Fitzpatrick, age 86 of Whiting died Tuesday, June 29 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Bordentown before moving to Whiting in 1996. Edna was a graduate of the Jeffery Hale Hospital Nursing School in Quebec City, Canada. She was an avid reader and loved to knit and do crossword puzzles. Edna is survived by her husband, William Fitzpatrick; four children, Donna L. Maione of Yardville, Bonnie Ferriolo and husband Barry of North Hanover, William Edward Fitzpatrick and wife Ada of Florence and Mary Beth Glen of Upper Deefield; her grandchildren, Christopher M. Smith and wife Michelle, Andrea L. Tao and husband Christopher, Matthew Glen, Jessica Fitzpatrick, Brian Glen, Marie E. Ferriolo, Gregory Glen, Caitlin Fitzpatrick, Molly Glen and Jacob Glen and four great grandchildren, Nathanael Tao, Alana Tao, Rylee Glen and Matthew Glen. Funeral services and interment in the Jacobstown Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
