Jack A. Moore of Whiting passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was 67. He had been a lifelong resident of New Egypt before moving to Whiting 19 years ago. He was a retired lab technician, employed by Ciba-Geigy Corp. of Toms River with more than 25 years of service. Jack was a member of the Woodruff Rod and Gun Club in Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ivins and Donna (Carter) Moore, and his three brothers, Frank, Jim and Roger Moore, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Sean Hoff of New Egypt; his son, Edward Moore of New Egypt; longtime companion, Kim Portash of Whiting; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., New Egypt, NJ 08533. Burial will follow in the Jacobstown Baptist Church Cemetery, Jacobstown-Arneytown Road. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
