Obituary of Joan R. Lubbers

Joan R. (nee Letts) Lubbers, age 74, of Bordentown died Wednesday, December 27 at RWJ University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Jacobstown, she had lived in New Egypt before moving to Bordentown 55 years ago. Joan had worked as a clerk at the Post Exchange at Fort Dix. Wife of the late Al Lubbers, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Karen Lubbers of Fieldsboro; her companion of 30 years, William Robertson of Bordentown; two grandchildren, Ashley Lauren Lubbers and Stephen Howard Lubbers and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30 at 12:00 noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Rev. William Walker, officiating. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM to Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery in Jacobstown.
