Francis William Mich, age 83, of Whiting died Monday, December 25 at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, ?Mich? had lived in the Bordentown/Fieldsboro area before moving to New Egypt in 1950 and then living in Whiting for the past 16 years. ?Mich? was a US Army/Air Force Veteran of World War II. He had been a co-owner of the Fieldsboro Welding Co. in Fieldsboro and also worked as a welder for Yates Industries in Bordentown. He also was a custodian for the Plumsted Township School District in New Egypt. ?Mich? was a member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge # 2457 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, stain glass and working in his tool shed. ?Mich? was pre-deceased by his parents, George & Blanche Mich, his sister, Blanche DiPietro and his wife of 58 years, who died on Christmas 2005, Janet Weaver Mich, he is survived by four daughters, Nancy & Jack Stephens of New Egypt, Bonnie Kernan of Whiting, Donna & Ronnie Hughes of New Egypt and Carol & Eddie Kozabo of North Port, FL; a son, Jim & Karen Mich of New Egypt; two sisters, Virgie Forman of Mercerville and Violet Parker of Bordentown; four brothers, George & Helen Mich of Trenton, Russell & Shirley Mich, Howard & Rita Mich and Raymond & Gerda Mich all of Bordentown; a brother-in-law, Dave DiPietro of Bordentown; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
