Obituary of Richard N. Bruno

Richard N. Bruno, age 72, of East Lansdowne, PA died Thursday, September 8 at Delaware County Hospital in Drexel Hill, PA. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Bayville, NJ before moving to Las Vegas and California for 2 years, Barnegat, NJ for 4 years and then to East Lansdowne. Richard was a retired truck driver for Hostess/Wonder Bread in New Brunswick. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1956-1958. Richard loved to build model airplanes and was a member of the Berlin Airlift Society at the Miller Airpark in Berkeley Twp. He loved to go to Atlantic City and always would go see the Blue Angels when they were in the area. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Dominic and Catherine Bruno and by his wife, Ellen Bruno. He is survived by four daughters, Ellen Bruno of Highlands, NJ, Barbara Wolf and husband Paul of Barnegat, NJ, Debbie Knoll and husband Bill of Middletown, NJ and Lorraine Bruno of Upper Darby, PA; his companion, Anne Cross of East Lansdowne, PA; two brothers, Nicholas Bruno of Matawan, NJ and Pete Bruno of Union City, NJ, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Richard will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 11:30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with interment to follow at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Richard?s memory may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, 20 Pine Mill Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 (www.deborahfoundation.org).
