Leona V. Favara, age 79, of New Egypt died Sunday, January 31 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she had be a resident of New Egypt for 50 years. Leona was a homemaker and was one of the founders and an avid supporter of the Plumsted Township Branch of the Ocean County Library. She was a movie buff and avid reader and loved her pets and all animals. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Andrew F. ?Andy? Favara; and two sons, Drew Favara of New Egypt and Neil Favara of Pt. Pleasant. Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Popcorn Park Zoo ? Memorial Donations, 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731.
