Obituary of Lawrence Clifford Bullock

Lawrence Clifford ?Cliff? Bullock, age 93, of New Egypt died Tuesday, January 24 at his residence. Born in Dewitt, Arkansas, he was a longtime resident of New Egypt and also lived in Sebastian, Florida after his retirement from 1980-2009 before moving back to New Egypt in 2009. Cliff served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a mechanic and was the owner of Bullocks Garage in New Egypt for 32 years. Cliff was a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church, an exempt member of the New Egypt Vol. Fire Co. and before his death was the oldest living member of the fire company, a life member of the New Jersey Firemen's Association and a charter member of the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt. He was also a member of the Pyramid Lodge #92 F. & A. M. in New Egypt, the Crescent Shrine and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Trenton. Cliff was predeceased by his wives, Audrey Schmidt Bullock and Winifred Skibowski Bullock, two brothers, Charles and Leo Bullock and a step-sister, Virginia Hornbeck. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence C. ?Larry? and Dawn Bullock of New Egypt and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Cliff will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with burial to follow in Emley?s Hill Cemetery in Cream Ridge. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cliff?s memory may be made to the New Egypt Fire Co., P. O. Box 177, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
