Vincent J. Hines, Jr., age 65, of New Egypt died Monday, July 30 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a resident of East Brunswick before moving to New Egypt in 1986. Vinnny had owned his own business, V&H Auto Body in Perth Amboy before retiring. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed horses. Vinny was a parishioner at the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt. Vinny was predeceased by his parents, Vincent J. and Mary (Pollaci) Hines. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Iris (nee Matos) Hines; three children, Teresa Heath and husband David of Scotch Plains, Sandra Pomykala and husband Robert of New Egypt and Vincent Hines III of Palmyra; two sisters, Mary Carrol Barnes of Freehold and Renee Soma of Jackson; six grandchildren, Brian, Matthew and Nicholas Heath and Troy, Darren and Ryan Pomykala and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial for Vinny will be held on Thursday, August 2 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption, 28 Monmouth Road (Route 537), Wrightstown, NJ 08562 (www.churchoftheassumption.com) with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery in New Egypt. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, August 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ (www.tilghmanfh.com).
