Duane J. Hughes, age 64, of Langhorne, PA died Tuesday, July 31 at Aria Health Bucks County in Langhorne. Born in Hillsboro, OR, he was a resident of Langhorne for the past 15 years and formerly of New Egypt, Cream Ridge and Browns Mills, NJ. Duane had formerly worked as a concrete inspector for Craig Testing Labs in Mays Landing, NJ. He also was an award winning photographer who had he own photography business and was an avid model ship builder. Son of the late Mildred (Emery) Hughes, Duane is survived by two children, Duane Michael Hughes of Lumberton and Valerie Amaradio and husband Philip of Swedesboro; his father, Jack Hughes of Brick; a brother, Ronald Hughes and wife Donna of New Egypt; two sisters, Diane Koveleski and husband John of Jackson and Cheryl Springett and husband Richard of Wrightstown; four grandchildren, Dominic, Juliana, Nicolas and Alex Amaradio and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Duane will be held on Thursday, August 2 at 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with calling hours on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Duane’s memory can be made to the Williams Syndrome Association (www.williams-syndrome.org).
