Edna L. Garey, age 82, of Jacobstown died Saturday, November 10 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Philadelphia, she has been a resident of Jacobstown for 17 years and formerly lived in Chesterfield. Edna had worked at the deli counter at Marazzo’s in Robbinsville. She loved yard sales and basket bingo and was proud to have won a Powder Puff Derby in Pennsylvania when she was younger. Wife of the late George Garey, she is survived by her children, Norman Romberger (Rosemary), Sandy O’Neill (Joseph), Marty Howe (Floann), John Banuat, Dale Garey (Bonnie), Bobby Larson and Tommy Larson (Melissa Roscoe); two brothers, Richard Smale (Ellie) and Elwood Smale (Peggy); several grandchildren including a special grandson Joshua Garey who helped care for her, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Edna will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 12:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the funeral home.
