Obituary of Bobbie Jean Gunther

Bobbie Jean Gunther, age 78, of Cream Ridge died Wednesday, November 21 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Born in Shreveport, LA, she was a resident of Saddle River, NJ before moving to Cream Ridge in 1996.
Bobbie had worked as a school bus aide for Garden State Transportation in Southampton. She was an active parishioner of the Church of the Assumption and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Bobbie was also very active in the Plumsted Township Senior Outreach Services (SOS) and was a former member of the Villagers of Allentown.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, James Gunther; two daughters, Yovone Rasor and husband Gary of Cream Ridge and Pamela Jean Gunther of Paramus, NJ; a son, Donald N. Penwarden of Wantage, NJ; a brother, Jessie Sammons of Houston, TX and five grandchildren, Brian, Leigh, Alexis, Neil and Nicole.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bobbie will be held on Monday, November 26 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption Chapel, 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt, with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery in New Egypt. Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
