Obituary of Billy Dean Cole

Billy Dean Cole, age 76, of Willingboro died Saturday, December 15 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Marion, NC Dean and his family lived in many locations during his military service finally settling in Willingboro in 1979. Dean served in the US Army and did one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He received many service awards including a Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Clusters. Dean retired as a Master Sergeant. After his military retirement he had his own roofing company in Willingboro, worked at Ogden Foods in Wrightstown and he also worked for MWR at McGuire AFB. Dean touched many lives and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. Dean was predeceased by his siblings, Gene Cole, Hazel Cole and Joyce Cole all of North Carolina. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sabra (nee Miller) Cole; two daughters, Sherry Cole of Willingboro and Katie Bell and husband Steve of Wrightstown; a son, Billy Cole and wife Lisa of Wrightstown; two brothers, Wayne Cole and wife Ann and Ray Cole and wife Nancy both of North Carolina; a sister, Judy Sepela and husband Anthony of Pennsylvania; grandchildren and spouses, Stevie Bell, Sandy Bell. Lisa and EJ Winters, Jim and Beth Robbins, Cherish and Jeff Brittain and Sara Causey; great grandchildren, Cameron Winters, Madison Winters, Gauge Brittain, Haven Brittain Gracelin Causey and Madison; a brother-in-law, Don Miller and wife Teri and their children Shannon and Christie of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews including Darrell and Dalit Cole and their children Sean and Shie and best friends Mac and Shelia McCrellis of Cookstown. Calling hours for Dean will be held on Wednesday evening December 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with interment services with military honors to held at a later date at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road in Wrightstown (Please check the website later for updates). Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
