Virginia Rudderow Toone Of Haddonfield and Springfield Township Age 98 Virginia Rudderow Toone, age 98, died Thursday, February 1. Virginia was delivered February 15, 1908 at home on a small farm in Moorestown by a doctor driving a horse and buggy. She was raised on a bigger farm in Mount Laurel. She graduated from Moorestown High School, Class of 1925, graduated from Trenton Normal School of Teaching, Class of 1927 and married (pre-deceased) Warren ?Budd? Toone in 1929. Virginia taught 3rd and 4th Grades for 24 years at Mount Laurel and Magnolia Schools. She lost her first born, Robin to polio at age 11 and is survived by a son, Richard S. Toone and wife Regina of Springfield Twp.; Grandsons, Richard W. Toone and wife Trisha, Robert L. Toone; daughter, Eleanor Baker of Tuscon, AZ; grandsons, Scott D. Baker and Eric B. Baker and wife Jennifer; great granddaughters, Malina, Sophia; great grandson Emerson; adopted daughter, Mikiko Nishimura and husband George; grandchildren, Jane, John and wife Karen and great granddaughter, Gemma. Virginia was also a sister to Maurice ?Buddy? Rudderow of Mount Laurel. Virginia, ?Ginny?, ?Aunt Ginny? and ?Nan? witnessed many marvels in life including the first man on the moon, riding in a hot air balloon at age 85 and learned to do e-mail at age 90. She provided shelter and care to aged family members and never forgot to send a birthday card to her many nieces and nephews. She died at home, on her son and daughter-in-law?s small farm in Springfield Township, worn out, but still caring. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 2:15 PM at the Eldridge Cemetery in Mount Laurel. Calling hours are on Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and again on Saturday morning from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at her son?s residence at 18 Tower Drive in Springfield Township (call 609-261-3415 for directions).
