Stephen D. Havens, age 52, of Somerdale, NJ died Wednesday, December 26 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA. Born in Mount Holly, he lived in Somerdale for the past 9 years and formerly lived in North Hanover Twp.
Steve worked at the Lowe’s Store in Bensalem, PA. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Phillies, the Green Bay Packers and the New Jersey Devils.
Steve was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Havens and by a brother, Joseph Havens. He is survived by his parents, Alton and Elizabeth “Liz” (Storepin) Havens of Cream Ridge; a brother, Duane Havens and wife Cheryl of Cookstown; two sisters, Brenda Havens of Cream Ridge and Kimberly Beatty and husband Tim of Browns Mills; his paternal grandmother, Alice Havens of Jacobstown; two nieces, Jamie Lynn Havens of Cookstown and Shelby Beatty of Browns Mills; two uncles, Joseph Havens of Jacobstown and Robert Havens of Pemberton; an aunt, Mary Buchanan of Allentown, PA and several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Steve will be held on Wednesday, January 2 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption Chapel, 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt with Father Joseph Farrell, officiating. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
