Herman L. Morris, age 93, of New Egypt went to meet his maker Monday, January 7 at The Manor in Freehold. Born in Spotsylvania, VA, he has been a resident of New Egypt since 1954. Mr. Morris was an Army Veteran of World War II and met his wife in Germany while he was serving his country. After his service he was employed at Fort Dix. He was a member of the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt and the VFW Post 1817 in Burlington. Mr. Morris was an avid writer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karolina (Wimberger) Morris; five brothers and sisters still in Virginia; two nephews and a niece in New Jersey and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law in Rhode Island. Funeral and interment services will be held on Thursday, January 10 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road in Wrightstown, NJ.
