Obituary of James P. Tomaszek

James P. Tomaszek, age 66, of Southampton died Sunday, January 20 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Southampton for the past two years and formerly lived in Pennsylvania and Mount Laurel, NJ.
Jim served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a self- employed auto mechanic and he had also owned several gas stations in the Willingboro area. Jim also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Son of the late James and Rita Tomaszek, he is survived by his wife Dorothea “Dottie” Tomaszek; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Melissa Tomaszek of California; a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Greg Kessler of Summerville, SC; two step-daughters and their spouses, Tracy and Ethan Taylor of Cookstown, NJ and Jeanine and Joseph Seiler of Robbinsville, NJ; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral and interment services for Jim will be held on Monday, January 28 at 9:30 AM at the Chapel of the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Please meet at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com) at 9:00 AM on Monday to drive to the cemetery in procession.
Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s memory may be made to the Marine Corps League, PFC Giordano Detachment 200, 723 Mildred Avenue, Somerdale, NJ 08083.
