Obituary of Lynn Clifton

Lynn Clifton, age 61, of Vinton, VA died Saturday, February 3 at her residence with her family by her side. Born in Camden, NJ, Lynn had lived in New Egypt, NJ before moving to Virginia 25 years ago. She had worked as a sales associate for J.C. Penny in Roanoke, VA before her illness. Lynn had been a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Roanoke since 1990 and was an avid NASCAR fan and had been a stock car racing scorekeeper in the 1960?s and 1970?s. Lynn was predeceased by her parents, Ernest & Mary (Idell) Goff and her first husband, LeRoy Taylor. She is survived by her husband, Paul R. Clifton of Vinton, VA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lee & Mary Taylor and Richard & Lisa Taylor and a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa & RJ Krajcsovics all of New Egypt, NJ; a brother, Ernest Goff of Columbus, NJ; five sisters, Pat Gainey of Southampton, NJ, Gloria Mullen of Oak Hill, FL, Jeannette Stevens of New Mexico and Cheryl Goff & Beth Cass both of Trenton, NJ; her mother-in-law, Agnes Taylor of New Hampshire; and seven grandchildren, Andrew Dodd and Steven, Katie, Kimberly, Jacob, Michael & David Taylor. A special appreciation goes to Pastor Thomas Mann & wife Hannah, Pastor Jim Balsdon & wife Betsy and Uncle Roy & Aunt Marilyn Idell for their kindness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt, NJ (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Pastors Thomas Mann and Jim Balsdon, officiating. Interment will follow in Emley?s Hill Cemetery in Cream Ridge, NJ. Calling hours will be on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Lynn's memory may be made to Adventa Hospice Service, 154 West 4th Street, Salem, VA 24153.
